Product Description
Anti Slip Fiberglass Grate

Combining corrosion resistance, long life and a low maintenance design, FRP pultruded grating (Fiberglass pultrusion grating) is superior to conventional metallic gratings. This advanced grating is manufactured with a recessed tie bar configuration and is lightweight and easy to fabricate. Savings on labor and equipment often make the total installed cost of grating comparable to that of steel.

Manufactured with a high percentage of glass within the laminate, pultruded grating provides durability, extremely high unidirectional strength and stiffness. For most applications where it is used to replace steel grating, industrial grating rarely requires additional support.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the main benefits of FRP pultruded grating over steel?
A: FRP grating is much lighter than steel, corrosion-resistant, non-conductive, and requires almost no maintenance, significantly reducing long-term lifecycle costs.
Q2: Can FRP grating be used in outdoor environments?
A: Yes, the products include UV inhibitors and synthetic surfacing veils to provide optimum protection against UV weathering and structural degradation.
Q3: Is the grating fire retardant?
A: Most products are engineered to have a flame spread rating of 25 or less (ASTM E-84) and meet self-extinguishing requirements (ASTM D-635).
Q4: What surface finishes are available?
A: We offer corrugated, smooth, gritted (anti-slip), and covered surfaces to suit different industrial and pedestrian needs.
Q5: How does the installation cost compare to traditional materials?
A: Due to its light weight and ease of fabrication on-site without heavy lifting equipment, the total installed cost is often comparable to or lower than steel.
Q6: What load capacities can FRP pultruded grating handle?
A: Our line includes High Load Capacity (HI) options designed for up to H20 vehicular loads, as well as standard industrial and pedestrian grades.
