Koi Pond Filtration System Overview
All intelligent box type microfilter is made of non-toxic and corrosion-resistant food grade PP material. It is mainly composed of box assembly, drum assembly, reverse cleaning system, electric control box system and transmission system. The water flow is less than or equal to 10m³/h. The equipment uses food grade environmental protection 316 stainless steel filter as the medium to remove suspended solids (≥50 μm).
The equipment adopts automatic liquid level control. When suspended matter accumulates, causing water level rise outside the drum, the cleaning system automatically triggers the pump and drive system. The rotating drum undergoes continuous high-pressure cleaning, washing sewage into the collecting groove for direct discharge. The system utilizes fully intelligent turbine frequency conversion technology for energy-saving and strong filtration cycles.
Installation Instructions
1Place the microfilter in a stable location.
2Can be installed in-line or supplied by a water tower/pump; valves should be installed for level adjustment.
3Ensure a height difference for the sewage outlet to guarantee timely discharge.
4Maintain velocity in the outlet pipe through proper elevation.
5Verify cleaning pump inlet is submerged to avoid dry running.
6Capacitor connection: Connect motor lines (black/white/red) following the specific zero and live line requirements.
7Drum Rotation: Ensure clockwise rotation when facing the outlet; adjust wiring if counterclockwise.
Operation Guidelines
1Use the emergency stop switch immediately if needed.
2Manual Mode: Control the backwash pump and drum rotation via dedicated start/stop switches.
3Automatic Mode: Controlled by water level float ball probes. The system triggers backwashing based on preset relay timing and water levels.
4Maintain water level 5-10CM above the pump inlet during testing and verify impeller rotation direction.
Safety Precautions
Environment: Use indoors at -5°C to 40°C. Avoid rain, freezing, and direct exposure.
!Pump dry running is strictly prohibited.
!Stop the pump before changing valve states.
!Regularly inspect nozzles for blockages; clear debris immediately.
!Power off immediately if electrical equipment becomes wet.
Application & Features
Ideal for aquaculture, koi ponds, and sewage treatment early-stage separation. It features a detachable flushable design, automatic self-cleaning, and an inclined bottom to prevent blockages and dead corners. The PP material structure ensures a lifespan of over 10 years, offering excellent corrosion and temperature resistance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the automatic self-cleaning work?
The system uses a liquid level probe. When suspended solids block the screen and cause the water level to rise, the probe triggers the high-pressure backwash pump and drum motor automatically.
What material is the filter screen made of?
The filter screen is made of food-grade 316 stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion and suitable for both fresh and saltwater environments.
What is the minimum particle size it can filter?
The microfilter is designed to remove suspended solids and particles larger than or equal to 50 μm.
Is this system suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, the entire structure uses PP material, which is UV-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature resistant, designed for long-term outdoor use.
How often should the nozzles be checked?
We recommend regular inspections to ensure no blockages are preventing the spray. If a nozzle is blocked, it should be cleared or replaced to maintain cleaning efficiency.
What is the expected lifespan of the device?
Due to the high-quality food-grade PP construction and stainless steel components, the body structure has a service life of more than 10 years.
