Koi Pond Filtration System

The intelligent box type microfilter is constructed from non-toxic, corrosion-resistant food-grade PP material. Designed for efficiency, it integrates a box assembly, drum assembly, reverse cleaning system, and an advanced electric control system. With a water flow capacity of up to 10m³/h, it utilizes 316 stainless steel filter media to separate suspended solids ≥50 μm.

The system features automatic liquid level control. As suspended particles accumulate on the filter screen, water permeability decreases, causing the water level outside the drum to rise. Upon reaching the sensor point, the high-pressure backwash pump and drive system activate automatically, flushing debris into the sewage collecting groove for discharge.

Installation Instructions

1
Place the microfilter on a stable, level surface.
2
Can be connected via pipeline, water tower, or pump supply; adjust water levels using valves.
3
Ensure a height difference between the sewage outlet and discharge pipe for efficient waste removal.
4
Maintain proper outlet velocity by ensuring a gradient in the filtered water discharge pipe.
5
Always ensure the cleaning pump inlet is submerged to avoid dry idling.
6
Drum rotation must be clockwise when viewed from the water outlet (motor/gear side).

Operation Guidelines

Emergency Stop: Use the designated emergency switch for immediate shutdown.

Manual/Auto Modes: In manual mode, the backwash pump and drum are operated via start/stop switches. In Automatic mode, the system is governed by the water level float switch, triggering the cleaning cycle only when needed, significantly saving energy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What materials are used in the drum filter's construction? A: The microfilter is made of food-grade, non-toxic PP material for the box and high-quality 316 stainless steel for the filter screen, ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
Q2: How small are the particles that this system can filter? A: The system uses a specialized screen designed to capture and separate suspended solids as small as 50 μm (micrometers).
Q3: Does the filter require manual cleaning? A: No, the system features an automatic backwash function triggered by water level sensors. When the screen becomes clogged, the high-pressure cleaning pump activates automatically to flush debris.
Q4: Can the drum filter be used for saltwater aquaculture? A: While primarily developed for freshwater koi ponds and aquaculture, the use of 316 stainless steel and PP provides high resistance to various water conditions; however, specific maintenance for salt environments is recommended.
Q5: What are the environmental operating conditions? A: The device should be used indoors or under cover within a temperature range of -5°C to 40°C. It is important to avoid direct exposure to extreme rain, icing, or excessive sun exposure to maximize lifespan.
Q6: What should I do if the nozzles stop spraying water? A: You should regularly check the nozzles for blockages. If they stop spraying, simply remove them to clear out any debris or replace them with new nozzles to maintain backwash efficiency.
