Product Description
KOI POND FILTRATION SYSTEM
All intelligent box type microfilter is made of non-toxic and corrosion-resistant food grade PP material. It is mainly composed of box assembly, drum assembly, reverse cleaning system, electric control box system and transmission system.
The equipment uses food grade environmental protection 316 stainless steel filter as the medium to remove suspended solids (≥50 μm). When water containing particles enters the drum, they are intercepted by the filter screen. The equipment adopts automatic liquid level control. When suspended matter accumulates and reduces permeability, the water level rises, triggering the backwash system. The high-pressure cleaning nozzles wash the drum while it rotates, discharging sewage into the collecting groove.
Installation Instructions
- Place the microfilter in a stable location.
- Can be installed in-line or supplied by water tower/pump; valves should adjust water levels.
- Ensure a high-level difference for sewage discharge to prevent clogging.
- Check that the cleaning pump inlet is submerged to avoid idling.
- Capacitor connection: Motor has black (zero), white, and red lines. Connect capacitor lines to red and white lines, then connect external power.
- Drum rotation: Facing the outlet, the drum must rotate clockwise. Adjust wiring if rotation is counterclockwise.
Operation Instructions
1. Emergency Stop: Use the emergency switch for immediate shutdown.
2. Manual Mode: Turn switch to manual to control the backwash pump and drum independently via start/stop buttons.
3. Automatic Mode: Controlled by the water level float ball. When the probe is triggered, backwash starts for a preset time relay duration.
4. Pump Check: Ensure the impeller rotates clockwise and the water level is 5-10cm higher than the pump inlet before operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What materials are used in the drum filter construction?
A1: The filter body is made of food-grade PP material, and the filter screen is made of 316 stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and long service life.
Q2: How does the automatic cleaning system work?
A2: The system uses a water level float ball. When the screen is clogged and water level rises, it triggers the backwash pump and drum motor to clean the screen automatically.
Q3: Can this filter be used for outdoor koi ponds?
A3: Yes, it is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The PP material is UV resistant and can withstand outdoor conditions for over 10 years.
Q4: What size of particles can this system remove?
A4: The system is designed to remove suspended solids and particles larger than or equal to 50 μm.
Q5: What maintenance is required for the nozzles?
A5: Nozzles should be checked regularly. If they stop spraying, they should be removed and cleared of any debris or replaced if necessary.
Q6: Is it safe for the pump to run without water?
A6: No, it is strictly prohibited to let the pump idle in a no-water state as it may cause damage to the motor and impeller.
